Det var raderna "bless the ground were we kneel, safe in your woven creel, we follow for you speak, you speak as no other" ur låten My Russia från självbetitlade debuten som fick mitt ateistiska hjärta att öppna sig för Woven Hand och till viss del föreställningen att det faktiskt finns något högre väsen och det är precis vad David Eugene Edwards vill - att öppna våra hjärtan för gud.

She & Him, consisting of actress Zoey Deschanel (vocals, piano, banjo) and the best now living songwriter/guitarist/producer M. Ward, is releasing their second album with the very suitable title Volume Two. In this constellation it is Deschanel who writes all the songs, except for the covers of NRBQ’s Ridin' in My Car and Patience and Prudence’s Gonna Get Along Without You Now . Volume Two is a more complete record than the foregoer, Volume One, which at moments could be a bit repetitive and dull.

Since Black Rebel Motorcycle Club released their second album Howl in 2005, probably one of the best rock albums of the 2000s, I have been ready for a new delicate gospel influenced experience on every BRMC album In all honesty, I have been incredibly disappointed with the two releases following Howl as the band has produced some kind of garage rock with almost headache-causing guitars.
